This picture is special to me because it was during a trip to Atalanta, GA last year with my wife and youngest son. The day that picture was taken, we headed home.

A few hours after getting home to Georgetown, KY, I was taken to the ER of Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.

After getting to the ER and having a right bundle block ( right side of heart not working...) during an angiogram, I experienced a left bundle block. My heart stopped and I coded right there on the table.

After a few zaps, they got my heart stopped. After coming off the ventilator I received a pacemaker and was woken up. Spent a week in ICU then six weeks recovering at home.

Then I got back to my life. Life. Important word there!  Scary thing!!

(Almost the last picture ever...)

Oh, I also had my MT.O red Pioneer X with me!!!

This pic is....my backyard.

I thought about taking take one of the sea, or heading up to get one from the top of a majestic hill, but then I thought "Well what's so great about those things? Who wouldn't admire the stack of dry tinder I am currently calling home"

So here's my backyard, at the end of summer, on the evening of a 36° day.

It's an artificial fountain/pool at the top of the hill, on my home town. It's great for a picnic, and cool down on a hot summer afternoon.

Not an entry, just playing along. Please omit me from the draw  :salute:

This photo was taken Christmas Day 2013, and that Iron Age hill fort is where I chose to have my Christmas dinner, away from all the usual obligations and trappings of the day. For fans of The Princess Bride, it's where (or very close to where) the battle of wits between Wesley and Vizzini with the iocane powder was shot.

I was wrong! It wasn't the scene of the battle of wits, it was the fight with Fezzik just before, and in the background shortly after where Humperdink spots them from horseback (which is quite impressive, as the battle of wits and hill tumble was shot in North Yorkshire apparently) you can see it in the background as they ride off.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=niul8Hy-3wk

And shortly afterwards, as they approach the fire swap, they run down to the top of Cave Dale in Castleton, which is a steep shingle path that leads down to The Devil's Arse (Peak Cavern), and to an antique shop which featured in one of the UK meets. We'd bought a load of Swiss army knives there, and then suddenly Sparky415, Nuphoria, Hedgekid and a blow up doll were roped into a musical reenactment of a scene from Titanic by the shopkeeper, while Gareth and I wet ourselves laughing  :D

This is a very generous giveaway  :hatsoff:

And what a great idea for the entry.
Lots of beautiful locations shared by you all  :like:

My (our) favourite outdoor location is most probably the Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve

I've attached some pics I've taken at our favourite view point rock and from down below at the river close to the starting point for lots of great hikes...

Awesome photos everyone!  Some nice looking (and movie famous!) places.

I've spoken with the official 5th Anniversary GAW Adjudicator...

...and she has agreed to let the competition run till the weekend.  I'll do a random draw Sunday morning pacific standard time (March 3) and post the results.

Thought I would post a couple more.
First is a place I'm sure was abandoned during the dust bowl for lack of water. I always thought of it as busted dreams.

Walked over to the little well house after taking the second shot .........it was full of rattle snakes.
