Removing Advertising from 111mm SAK "nylon" scales? How?

I have a 111mm SAK knife with the standard "nylon" scales.  In the past with a regular 91mm SAK cellidor scales, I have successfully sanded the logo off using finer and finer sand paper until it is gone.  Also the shield on the 91mm cellidor scales has depth to it.  The 111mm scales logo seems similar to the printed advertising.  So, how can I remove just the advertising?  I have read where some sand the entire scale and comment on how it changes the grip.  I am not sure I want to do that.  Possibly constantly rubbing just the advertising with my thumb?  Will that work over time?

Thoughts?

Yes, 111mm not 108mm.  The logo is not Walter but I am sure a similar "printed" logo.  Just want it gone without modifying the scales (either texture or literally),

Or just get some replacement scales. That's what I did for my Locksmith, it had someone's name engraved and was in rough shape. Looks great now.

Removing the advertising print will alter the texture. If you remove it mechanically, it will be smoother afterwards and uneven if you don´t do the whole scale.
If you use a solvent, it will most likely attack the scale itself, too.
Wearing it off over time will take the Vic Logo and ad off evenly.
The easiest methods, as mentioned, are trading the knife, swapping the scales or sanding the print off and refinish it with an even grind in teh desired smoothness/roughness.
