Is there a new metal file in 84mm?

I like the new metal file in the SwissChamp I have.  Is there an 84mm version of that new file?

I really doubt it. There have been no 84mm models with a metal file for years.

I have an 84mm Grand Prix which has a metal file and scissors.
So I'm guessing the files went along with the scissors?

The small metal file on the cadet got changed or evolved last year... more aggresive I heard... I’m assuming it’s the same case for the Sportsman?

Just looked at an online photo and yes, that is the one in the Sportsman....just wish it was longer like the one on the 91mm.

I’ve seen some 84mm mods were the file was cut down to length... am affraid that’s the only possible way... unless Ibach comes out with one :cheers:

Is there a newer one - Did I miss something ?

As folk mentioned the 84mm Cadet file that changed last year was a nail file - Although now I guess it could be both!!
It can't be longer, at least not with this design, as its sits in the blade layer as an alternative to the small blade

Got me thinking - an 84mm version of the Automobile Special (Tinker + file) would be pretty sweet.

:oops: I didn't know that 91mm file came out that long ago!  I guess a lot of my knives are older than 14 years, so the file seems new to me.  :facepalm:

The files are tricky to get hold of in the Delemont line, and only available in the fattest, most expensive knives. Some of the older Wengers do have the files in slimmer cheaper versions though, and I've owned a couple of models with them in the past. They're less aggressive than the current 91mm files, so they can be used for fingernails as well as everything else you might want to use them on, which is something I wish the current 91mm files could do too.
