Possible group buy for Garant Vic-Nomad

Hello, just testing the waters here for a possible US group buy on the Garant branded Victorinox Nomad  plus. I recently got interested in SAKs again when my son asked me to get him one for his birthday.

Anyway, I found a video of the Garant / Nomad and I now I want a knife with those tweezers!

I called Garant and learned they have an extra charge for orders under 300, I would need to buy at least 7 of these to avoid paying the extra fee. The price per unit would be about 40 each plus actual shipping. I’m just looking to get one, if enough people are interested I can place an order but if someone else wants to handle this I’d be very willing to turn it over to another member here with more history or transactions.

Anyway, just thought I’d ask.

i think getting these to my door will be the easy part, repacking them and mailing them out to individuals will be the harder part. I prefer USPS Priority / not sure if this model (with all its packaging) will fit into a small flat rate but that would be my 1st choice. That way I could send tracking and have it delivered fast, and we would know upfront how much shipping will be, so the full price would be known beforehand.

It is a bit of work, I still need to set up an account with Garant to make the buy, but it seems like we can make this happen together pretty quick!

Update:

Just spoke with the tool rep, looks like the actual  price will be 43.36 per unit - add Priority shipping @ 7.90 and we’re looking at a final price of 52.26 (unless someone wants two - then I can combine shipping.) knives will be shipped to me from Germany and I will send them out to those who paid - please contact me for payment details.

As long as we have at least 5 willing participants, I will place the order later this week.

Also if someone wants cheaper shipping I can get a rate for Usps 1st class. - it’s not going to be as fast or secure as a flat rate box but I can use a padded envelope (at buyers risk).
