Crazy fast customer service on my fixed blade

I have a first gen MT1 survival knife from the Spanish company Cudeman. The screws they used in the handle where painted black in their first generation of that knife, and as it turned out after years of neglect and abuse, susceptible to rust. Not a functional issue, but not looking all that great either.

So when I asked them last week Friday if I could buy some stainless screws, as used by all their newer models, they said I should keep my money in my wallet, and that they would send me a stainless set free of charge. Around 11am this morning - Monday - basically the next business day, I get a ring from an express delivery man at the door. The set of new screws already arrived at my place!
How fast is that! Crazy fast indeed!

I mounted them, and compared to the pic above with the old screws, my knife looks like new again,

Getting a freebie is a great way to start the week!

This is my "tough as nails" beater knife. Digging in rocky soil, scraping moss out of the gutters, hacking stuff from roots to wood to plastic, ad-hoc sharpening on a ceramic tile, heck, it's sticking outside in the ground in a planter most of the year. The list of abuse is long. This is marketed as a survival knife, but considering what I have put it trough over the years, it's more of a surviving knife. With the new screws, the fixed edge (re profiled it a few weeks ago), and a good clean with WD40, the thing looks like new again.

Those Spanish knives often don't get the praise they deserve, through not being lavish supersteels or whatever. I've had an Andujar bowie, and now have a Muela, and they are very capable and well made knives. Never heard a bad word about Cudeman either.

True that. They may not use the latest and greatest steels, but the steels they come with (This one is plain ol' 440) are very easy to service, super stainless, and tough enough to hold up in most situations.
I have various supersteel pocket knives, but my outdoors knives all have more basic steels.
