Whats your dream setup, with fantasy tools that don't exist yet?
Why wait? If what you want doesn't exist, mod something and create it
I made my Charge into as close as I can currently get to my wishes.(Image removed from quote.)What would I still change? Quite a lot actually.Change out the saw for one from a SAK, 93mm model or longer if it would fit. The SAK saw is so much better, I don't like pull only saw configurations.Comfortable rounded scales with the screws inset in the handles (would require different style of screw), I find the Charge handles and especially the screws to be hand chewers with any hard work.Pliers from a Surge.Same blade but in FFGThin out the flat blade screwdriver slightly towards the tip for better prying.I could do all of this to be honest but it wouldn't be that easy or cheap. Especially the blade regrind.
The only thing I wish I could get in a MT that I have yet to see is a decent set of Diagonal Cutters and Ideal Flex type Strippers. So usually I will carry a MT and both in a dedicated tool, there is just no good way around this for me.I love the ES4 strippers but they are not enough at the same time usually for me.There is no real stand in for my Klein Dikes either.(Image removed from quote.)
SOG had diagonal cutters almost in production several years back but never released them they must have had more problems with them than they wanted to deal with but our own Bob (J-sews) took a pair of regular ones and fit them on a power lock frame (not sure if it was that model or not) and they looked awesome whe. I have some more time I will look for the thread that he had of this mod
