This month's Donation Draw is a bit alien to me, as I am *gasp* not a coffee drinker.  Fortunately, I am a Swiss Army Knife enthusiast, so I can still appreciate it.  :D

This one was supplied to us by a very good friend of mine (and excellent MTO member!)  in the mythical Land of France, and he deserves ALL the credit for us having this one to give away- whoever he is.  Let's make sure that he knows how much we appreciate his sacrifice.  :D

For those not familiar with the Nespresso Series knives, I can pretend that I am all Captain Smartypants- like and tell you all about it, or you can read the box:

You can also read more about it at SAKWiki.com, a place where some members works tirelessly to update and ensure accuracy, and they also deserve some credit and adulation, so visit it and see all kinds of things you probably didn't know!

This knife is part if the second series of Nespresso knives, and you aren't likely to get your hands on one of these no matter how many grandmothers you have to sell into slavery.  It is also brand spanking new in the original packaging- the box is absolutely mint, and I don't think you could get any better if you bought it from the factory and had it delivered by hand models who carried it on satin pillows.

How does this amazing beauty become yours?  Well, ya pays yer money, and ya takes yer chances.

As is usual with our Donation Draw prizes, donate a minimum of $10 USD to the Forum Operational Fund by using this link, the DONATIONS tab at the top or by using the big Make A Donation button in the right margin.  You can't miss it, it looks like this .

And, in case I didn't link to it enough already, here is another link:

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=treasury

Lotsa wordy things... need the picture things....

If we hit the goal of $300 by midnight on March 31st, this knife gets a new home with someone I will pick at random somehow.  If we hit the goal by midnight on March 15th (all times are in Forum Offset Time to be fair) I will add a second, Early Bird Prize, which will probably be cool, but maybe not as cool as the Nespresso knife, but if you win the Early Bird Draw, you are still in the running for the Nespresso, so it could actually be even cooler still.

And, as an added twist, I am going to do something even cooler this month, and offer THREE entries for $25.  How's that for a deal?  That's a $5 savings... you know, in case you aren't so good with the mathy-numbery stuff.

If for some reason we don't hit the goal I will lock this knife away in my vault and covet and fondle it forevermore as my Precioussssss, so for the sake of what little sanity I have left, make sure to get your donation in because I am allergic to Orcs.

Any questions?

Aren't there any prescription drugs to help you get rid of that Orc allergy?

Or is that where the Orc spottings started out in the first place? :dunno:

Sweet prize by the way!

There is a prescription, but the directions are written in Runes and I can't read them.

Nice color and i do not own a Pioneer yet   :pok: :D

Not a big fan of Nespresso because those capsules are a big waste in my mind, but i like that Victorinox is using them to make scales  :tu:

Yeah, I've often thought that too - seems very wasteful to me.

^^^ Not in this case are they wasteful !!!!   :pok:   :o
I am big into recycling - And had the same thoughts too - However I do have a home Nespresso machine  :twak:  ..... and the coffee is just fantastic!!
Although we have switched to non branded capsules now - which are plastic! - Maybe even worse from a recycling perspective !

In Nespresso's defense they do have a few recycling points around Sydney (eg some stores) - and I assume other cities
 - Although this does not work for me as the locations are not near my house!   :(
Worst case you can recycle in your home recycling tub?
At work we have a machine too and those capsules are recycled big time

But yes overall - Its a 100% waste compared to a pot on a stove, or a cafetiere, or a filter
...... Note: I am not including instant coffee in this comparison !!   :pok:    ;)
