US Army 111mm Soldier

Anyone have one of these guys? I love my 08 Pattern Soldiers but I feel like the black tools would lend themselves to not showing finger smudges as bad (as someone who likes their blades clean its an uphill battle with polished finishes). I've been trying to locate one to buy but I'm not in the military and my friends who were are all retired now.

The US army isn’t a standard issue item and isn’t sold on the base that I work st.  However, someone posted a flyer earlier today and I saw that it’s available exclusively from the windrose group and googled and found their site.

There was some talk about this model a while back. I think the conclusion was that this SAK has no actual association wit the US Military.

I checked the exchange (PX & BX) system, and it is not for sale through those channels (although a few other SAKs are).

Since this knife does have an NSN, individual units could order these if they chose, but that's true of a a wide number of knives and tools.
