Oh no! My heart sank when I read this. Karl was more than just a member here, he was part of the structure. A wonderful guy, full of knowledge, and always willing to help.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know Mark. My heart goes out to you and all your family in this most difficult of times.

Rest easy, Karl. Thank you for being part of our forum, and part of our lives. You will be remembered.

What a huge loss to our community - I only had a few interactions with him
But he was so friendly, and generous, and helpful, with a great sense of humour
..... and amazing photos - Which are all over MTo and SAKWiki
And certainly one of the biggest colllections on the planet!

My heart goes out to his brother, his family, and loved ones
And thank you so much for letting us know.

I read the email earlier at work and it completely floored me.
Just a regular day, wanting to get home then "Bang" the sad news knocked me for six.
Like many here, I never met Karl - or Colo as I often referred to him. But he was always eager to share his wealth of information - there can't be many here who I would tip my hat to if I ever met up, but Karl was one of the few whom I would do so, he had my utmost respect.
I'm actually gutted, it's really knocked it home how we go about our daily lives thinking of other things but never living in the moment.
Sincere condolences to Karl's family. I hope they know just how fondly he will be remembered. I miss him already.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Mark, if you are reading this, I am sorry for your loss.
Angel's and ministers of grace defend us.

May Karl be in heaven half an hour before the devil even knows he has passed.

I had few, if any interaction with ColoSwiss here, but anyone could see he was a generous soul, with a mass of knowledge about Swiss army knives that was legendary.

As others have said, thank you for taking the time to let us know. I'm sure you have other more pressing concerns. Thank you
