Heavy Metal

A couple of these metal-handled knives are available on the Net, mostly from the respected swiss collector Robert Moix.
I will not advertise his store not to infringe on any Forum rules, but he is quite easy to find.
This knife started its life as a Spartan, like most of its siblings, and somehow, on a trip Down Under, got discolored in the process. Finally, landed in my hands, I have this reputation to be "the next best thing to the garbage bin".

Dropped the scales, very nicely moulded from a sort of white metal. On the inside there are rectangular areas designed to retain the glue. On mine, the glue was the worst kind of thermo glue, more like the sort they use to glue samples in magazines (should have made a pic)
Cleaned them up, sprayed 12;478 coats of clear acrylic varnish. And epoxied them to a Camper frame, not on a Huntsman, because IMHO you don't really need the scissors outdoors. Makes a nice, hefty, thick, meaty small outdoor knife I think.  111 grams.
