Day5

This morning I was playing with a new GEC I got, #6 Pemberton, which is a pinky-sized coke bottle slipjoint, and the CRKT homefront, a knife that could be completely dissembled and re-assembled without tools in seconds.

I can't help but to marvel how far the knife industry has grown for the last century and the abundant of options we could choose from nowadays.  We indeed are living in a golden era for knife enthusiasts.

I like this, while everyone is using the battery-eating smart phones, I often look back and think the older phones are more reliable and long lasting than most phone we see nowadays.

We had four participants for the first ICC. I assigned each player a suit from a standard deck of cards:

01 - Pomsbz :  Hearts
02 - RF52 : Spades
03 - David : Diamonds
04 - Alan K. : Clubs

The deck was thoroughly shuffled and then cut.......

I also agree with comis that we live in the 'Golden Age' of pocket knives. We have so many good choices of such good quality. It's sad to see some of the grand older companies are gone, and for some of those remaining the quality has slipped, but in general we are spoiled for choice.

Day 5: Post festivities cleanup.  The Sodbuster helped around the kitchen yesterday, slicing open bags and packets, as well as hot dogs!
