Day 9. Carry and no use. The leather 110 sheath is in storage, the black/white nylon one this 110 came with  I couldn't remember where I put it (these days, sheaths are kept in the box with paperwork, but at the time I bought this 110, I didn't do that), so I used the black/blue sheath the Shield came with (which I put back up, since I cleaned and oiled it yesterday. The washing machine had to be fixed (under warranty and by someone who knew what they were doing), and just in case the guy forgot something, I went a bit into overkill with what I carried.

Tomorrow, I'm probably going to go back to the LT, as well as ditching pretty much everything but the Buck, Rebar and Mini Cobras (and/or wear cargo pants). My grandmother's got a doctor's appointment, and since the particular hospital the clinic is a part of has "No Weapons of Any Kind" policy plastered around every door in every facility they own,  I try to make sure there is no MT or knife sheath on my belt; in case I have to go to the restroom while waiting in the car. Personally, I prefer just to drive the extra mile into the town center to use it at Hardee's; though I did have something on my belt once at this clinic, and no one said a thing.

That's a capable to set there Cody  :like:

Day10

Been up since 3am this morning for the little guy and went straight to work, finally get sometime off to enjoy a cup of hot ginger tea while playing with my GEC toothpick.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes a human body is a balance between hot and cold energy.  I used to quench thirst with anything cold in hot summer days, but TCM doctors would have me believe that's like quenching a red hot steel with cold water, and it might not be the best for the body.  Instead, sometimes a hot drink could relieve the body and make it more attune to the weather.  I am only starting to understand this as I grow a bit older.

Btw, do people ever pick their teeth with this pattern because it is called a toothpick?

The body wants to keep temperature stable. If it's hot outside it tries to cool down by sweating (evaporating on the big skin area).
The body's core temperature is kept fairly stable always. Drinking cold fluids will cause a sudden drop of the body's core temperature and even while sweating outside the body needs to warm up the cold fluids then.
I've heart the Tuareg like to drink a not too hot peppermint tea.

@MTMatt - very nice job they did wrapping that left hand.
I am very glad you were fit into the surgery schedule and impressed with your MTo attitude during the wait.

Now take care and let your body heal!
