RIP Dick Dale, Howard Viele
on: March 18, 2019, 05:59:51 PM
It seems that deaths are coming faster these days than we can keep threads going.

Howard Viele, noted knife designer passed away a couple of days ago.  I fond out about it last night.  Howard's designs were revolutionary, and to this day his Spyderco model was one of the most distinctive Spyderco collaborations I've ever seen.  I'm sorry to hear of his passing- he was a great designer and I really enjoyed his stuff.

I also found out yesterday that Dick Dale, the man known as the Father of Surf Guitar also passed away.  Some of you may not be familiar with Dick Dale, but as soon as you hear him play you will see that not only do you know him, but you can also see how his signature style spawned an entire genre of rock music.

He's back to making amazing music with Stevie Ray...

I hadn't heard that.  That is also terrible news.

If you ever get the chance, watch the documentary about the Wrecking Crew. These musicians were the real deal!  :tu:
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I might be crazy but it's kept me from going insane- Waylon Jennings
