Part serrated blades.

Anyone actually prefer them over a pe blade?
I have one on my Skeletool but would much prefer a plain edge.

My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

If you have read many of most posts over the years, then you know I dislike the combo blades  :D Rather have a pe blade any day of the week :salute: :tu:

I'm more of a plain edge guy myself :tu:
But if I where to have serrations I would have a fully serrated blade, the combo edge doesn't give you enough of any to be great.

:iagree: Serrated blades are definitely great to have but combo edges don't have enough for me to be happy with them as either a PE or SE blade :ahhh

I like combo edges because I always seem to need to cut fibrous material such as palm fronds or rope.  Some combo edges work better than others though and some serrations don't work at all, even on fully serrated blades.  Leatherman's fully serrated blade doesn't work very well on palm fronds but does ok on rope.  When I have a Leatherman Wave for example, I skip the serrated edge and just use the saw when I have to cut palm fronds. My 30 year old Schrade USA CH-7 has a partially serrated blade that goes through rope or palm fronds like butter. The Spyder edge on Spyderco knives also works very well... sometimes. :dunno:

I think a combo edge on the endura  will be fine if you give it a chance.
The blade length overall is the key to its usefulness.
I have the partial  blade on my delica  and it is one versatile knife.

Let us know how it works for you ( edit after thought)
