We all have that one particular flashlight, knife, multitool etc. That sometimes we spend hours dreaming of owning. So we have to go on a shopping diet and save for it!  What are you saving up for?

A few Swiss knife mods. Rather than saving up, and buying everything at the same time, I've been drip feeding the necessary ingredients in over many months. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I can start.

I want to get one of those curved knives for carving spoons.  I am also thinking about finally breaking down and getting a LM ST 300.

Saving up for bathroom renovation. Looking at 8k to replace current front bathroom with new sexiness, such  as the walk in shower I've  been wanting. Gear wise, nothing special.

A leatherman crunch which I believe will complement my EDC perfectly.

Cheers,

sorry to make things difficult, the Swiss tool is on sale atm on Walmart btw: 86.14

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Victorinox-SwissTool-Stainless-Steel/1641127

I noticed last week it was the cybertool 34 for 68...it was very very tempting. But honestly I really need the Leatherman Crunch more.

also the Kershaw Barricade 26.81

Trail Boss.

Trucks are expensive these days, so that may not happen this time around.

Normally, I'm averse to buying new, but this is the first truck that Chevy has produced in 20 years that doesnt scrape the bottom of the front bumper on the curbstone by default when parking "nose-in."

That's the kind of the kind of thing I often rant about, so I'm glad they finally leveled and lifted a Z71, the way they used to do as part of the Z71 package in the early 90's.

So, now I want one but the entry level Trail Boss lists for $45k.

Y-yikes!

The Fallkniven is top-quality all-the-way VP.  It's a beautifully-made knife.  :tu:

I like big, burly knives.  So, I'm looking-at picking-up a Cold Steel 4 Max

An actual (issue) BAK.  The lockback is not only a tad safer, but I don't have to deal with the issue of the blade chipping when snapping shut that the slipjoint version has.  Plus, it's got an NSN and "Broad Arrow" not that cheesy "Genuine British Army" stuff the civilian models have on the scales. And at $28 shipped, given finances now, a bit more realistic than the $70 GEC.

Also, I might as well get one of these from the same seller in the UK to soften the shipping. The old Sheffield keychain knife design, actually a tiny bit smaller than the Classic,  is a personal favorite for a coin pocket.  The short little sheepsfoot blade does small EDC tasks well, and the SD tip of the bottle opener handles Phillips. My old (1950s?) one with a more rectangular frame and whiskey advertising, has a missing bail. May splurge and have my initials engraved on it.

For the first time in my life - I want nothing really.
Things I'd like, but cannot be bothered to buy.
I've gone full circle in the last 12mths.

I must have found contentment...where the hell did that come from??
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Well, I'm not so sure this time...
Xmas brought me £100 in amazon vouchers also sold a camera to a colleague for £300.
Both voucher and cash are still sat in my "secret stash" tin!
Don't get me wrong I'm spending money on house jobs/DIY etc. But I assumed the thread was aiming at personal stuff ...toys

Nope, can't think of a damn thing

I so want LM to bring out a blunt nosed MT - a proper work tool - not some damn gadget with the usual banal tool layout.

It's beyond a joke now...starting to piss me off!!
