Oh, you can't cut that with that little thing.

Soooo, I'm at Home Depot getting some thick rope for a project in the yard that will involve the granddaughter when she comes out for spring break. I reel off some thumb thick nylon rope from the big spool mounted and takeout my pocket knife. the Home Depot guy says that I can't cut that thick a rope with that little knife. The knife in question is my EDC Victorinox executive that is a permanent passenger in my coin pocket.

I take out the main blade and get ready to cut and the Home Depot guy is telling me to wait while he goes and gets something capable. Being a SAK knight I start cutting. It takes four swipes of the blade from heel to kick and the rope is cut. He's amazed and says he didn't think that that dinky little knife would cut that. I look at hime with as strait a face as I can put on, and simply tell him, "It's a Victorinox Swiss Army knife. They do most anything."

He makes out a tag for the number of feet of rope and I go off up front to pay for it. He never says anything more.

Victorinox. For when you have to get it done.  :D
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

You're probably quite right there. I gave my brother a Wenger Traveler a few years ago, and a couple of months ago, he asked me about sharpening it  ::) needless to say, it was very blunt. I refused to sharpen it for him, and taught him how to do it instead. He'll still probably approach me again when it gets too dull to cut anything though.

In this challenge,  carry one(1) Pliers-based or Non-pliers multitool that we always have prejudice against, hate or even fear and post a picture everyday for 30 days Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of an Old Cross SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Build your own version of an MRE using off-the-shelf components, post a photo of the completed MRE and store at room temperature for 6 days or more. Consume the MRE after the storage period and post pictures and descriptions of the contents. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a 'folding hunter' knife that isn't a Buck 110 for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the 110 knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) In the spirit of the Batman utility belt. A 30 day challenge were you have to have at least 2 things clipped to your belt (preferably more). Start a thread and post a picture of your clipped gear each day for 30 days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for thirty (30) consecutive days.

Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of  a Opinel  knife  for 30 days Carry an orange item and post a picture of it everyday for 30 days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Cybertool (any variant), Swisschamp, Champion or Toolchest for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day.
