They really do become old friends. I carried a Huntsman exclusively for 32 years and know it with my eyes closed. It's earned its retirement, but I still take it on journeys from time to time.

Unfortunately the Victorinox store in London Is closed, but that%u2019s where I%u2019ve taken my Vics in for warranty repair which is free - in my experience they don%u2019t charge, and they come back with new scales and scale tools. When it comes to spare parts like a spring, it depends - if it%u2019s a back spring, then I cannibalise another knife, but if it%u2019s a scissors spring then I get spares from Vic/retailers in Germany/amazon/eBay. If it is just a scissors spring PM me and I%u2019ll send you one for free.
