I’d go for the Benchmade. They’re tough as nails.

I love that Axis lock. Makes one-handed opening and closing very easy....if that’s important to you.

I didn't gel with the grip but I really like the mini grip and now want one with the thumb hole.
I also really like my para 2 and could see the para 3 being a good one.
While usually I can't recommend sog stuff I do have a flash 2 which is handy when trying to lighten the load.

I vote for the finger choil first.
Then the axis lock second.

Nothing wrong with any of those options, but personal preference based on the knives I own is for SOG's Arc Lock over the others.

I voted for the Para3 because I know and like it.....but I suspect I'd like the Benchmade just as much  :salute:

Just one thing.......I hope you posted pics of partially serrated models by accident rather that intent ..........?

One more thing......you should maybe throw the Para3LW into that mix.

One last thing  :P .....I figured the comprassion lock is a bit of a gimmick, but I've developed a liking for it....seriously, deployment, safety....all there.  I've only experienced rip-offs of the axis-lock, those I would not rate over the compression lock.

I was thinking the same. But, from Matt himself.... :ahhh

I'm a sucker for combo edge lol

I do carry combo blades a lot, but only because they were sale items and I am used to having a combo blade. But, if I were buying an expensive knife, I think I'd go plain edge, as I have a serrated blade in most of my EDC Multis. :)

Thanks for voting guys! Yes I know the "right" thing to do is get a PE folder but I've found that my favorite MT to carry the LM Blast has PE already so it makes sense for me to carry combo edge so I still have some serrations, and if I need that full PE blade my Leatherman has it covered 😁

Why help you make a decision easier, when I can make it harder :D
Have you looked at the Benchmade Bugout and Bailout?

But the knife you really want is a GiantMouse Biblio, sweet Anso/Voxnaes desgin with an action smoother than Commander William T. Riker's freshly shaven babyface...

It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I believe the accepted way here to ask this question is:
"Which one of these 3 should I buy first?"! :pok: :twak: :drink:

Depends.
If you just want a light duty EDC that sits in your pocket well, get the Spiderco. Flat handle, nice blade and tip. The handle gets uncomfortable when doing hard work (doesnt mean the knife cant handle it, just not nice after some time)

When you want a user with better handling for harder usage get the Benchmade, more volume in handle, not that pointy blade.
Sheepfoot with hole is also available which makes it an awesome user.

Got two  Grippis and a Gen1 Para, dont have that exact SOG but not that good experience with other Sog knifes and tools.

I voted for the SOG because every SOG I own has been wicked sharp. I think they use some kind of Voodoo on them.  I also prefer a combo edge on my EDC knife because I tend to cut fibrous items such as natural or nylon rope, and palm fronds, and the serrated edge really shines there but I don't care for fully serrated blades.

Not much experience with sog, but can definitely recommend the spyderco or benchmade :like:
