What's going in with the PS4?

The PS4 is $60 on Amazon and eBay, and hard to find elsewhere.  Not that long ago (okay, a few years), they were less than half this price.  Leatherman does not show the PS4 as retired.  They are $39.95 on the Leatherman website.

Is there a PS4 shortage?  What's going on here?   :pok:  :think: :think: :think:

That’s what I want to know too. It’s out of stock on bladeHQ and they are showing it’s discontinued! Leatherman’s website shows as you said $39.95 and NOT Retired.

Perhaps it is like the Crunch and a few other models. They were just out of stock because they hadn't made any for a while :think: it jumped the price of the Crunch up for a while as well :ahhh  hopefully they will get them back in stock and prices will come back down again :think: :salute:

I think that Generalissimo Poncho is prolly right.   Maybe Timmy eased up on production of the PS4 for a while so that human and capital assets could be deployed in other areas.  I really do not foresee the PS4 going into retirement.  Its just strange that the cheapest PS4 on Amazon is around $60, and another is listed at $98.  Walmart has black ones at $39.99, and shows red at $60 but its unavailable.

On December 6, 2010, I paid $28.00 for a PS4 on Amazon.

Leatherman tells me that they are still offering the PS4 for $39.99, but they did not respond to my query as to why there seems to be a "shortage".  They said that if someone was selling on Amazon for $98 or $104, they are not an authorized seller and Leatherman asked for the link which I provided.  They said there are no authorized sellers on eBay.

Our local leatherman website is out of stock on PS4. They did not run out of stock on the Crunch back during the great Cruch shortage  :dunno:
