Is Alox pronounced AL-Oh, or A-Lox

I have been pronouncing Alox as Al-oh, but I see the YouTube video folks saying A-lox.  Have I been saying it wrong?  :think:

The second syllable definitely rhymes with box, socks, rocks etc.
The question is, does the first syllable rhyme with May or Hal? I say "Allocks", not "Aye-locks".

But I would have thought in the US it would be A-lox? ???

Guess that also partly depends on which country you live in. I would say A-lox.

Sigh. The one and only way* is either Al-lox or A-lox. There has to be two syllables, and the second syllable HAS to be -lox.
