Zermatt pouch info required
on: April 18, 2019, 09:28:48 PM
I'm thinking of getting a Zermatt pouch for my Farmer. I'm looking at the medium pouch with sharpening steel and wondered if anyone knows whether the fit is good.

If that one is no good I'm looking for recommendations for decent leather belt sheaths for the Farmer.

Cheers

No clue on fit of the Farmer.

I have 1 Zermatt sheath that was kindly gifted to me by Aleph and I can only say that the built quality is SUPERB!
By far my fav sheath.

I have one, I think it's the medium size. It's a bit wide for a Farmer, it fits a 4-layer cellidor tightly.

I tried and I tried, but never found the right one. So I switched to ballistic nylon and Velcro. Cheaper and many sizes available.

Maybe Kydex?

Not the same charm as leather though.
Maybe a friction sheath? Pancake sheath?

I have a few Vx leather belt sheaths.

In the catalogs these are shown as suited for 2-4 layer knives, 5-8 layer knives, etc.

IMO, these are suited for 4 and 8 layers only, less layers means rattling. It makes sense.

Here’s a pic of two of the ones I customized,, then I went a little further with the one because one day the flap was open, so I punched a ring in so that if the flap opened and it fell out some how it still wouldn’t go anywhere!

Mags, I saw this one on eBay from a UK seller, but unsure if it's too big for the Farmer?  Seller offers returns.
