Victorinox SwissTool Spirit XC BO ??

Dear collectors, I need a little bit of help.

A fellow Dutch DAK collector sent me this picture of a Victorinox Spirit XC BLACK OXIDE.
It is not known if it was Standard Issue or that it has been privately acquired.

Are Spirit XC's in Black Oxide common? I've never found a picture of one on the internet.

One handle looks like it has significantly less wear than the other handle. Could it be reassembled out of two different models? (Half a Spirit and half a Spirit X)?

Also the pins don’t look black?

Maybe... just maybe...

The regular blade snapped off,
The tool was sent back to Vic,
They discontinued the BO Spirits at the time (so before the release of the newer variants),
They placed BO scissors in it instead as they did have those in stock.

Just a guess though.
