Teeny weeny Spyderco Ladybug
on: December 13, 2008, 10:04:33 PM
This just came in last week from our good buddy EODTech:

The Vic and Wenger were mine already, but the bright orange LadyBug in middle is new.  It's a cute little thing, but I'm not so certain it really has much function.  I certainly wouldn't want to have my fate resting in such a teeny knife, and it's a bit broad for opening letters.  Still, it's probably a lot handier than having no blade at all.

Still, I can't help but think that these little knives are a way for Spyderco to use up as many end cuts of steel as they can, rather than sending them out to be recycled.

I don't think I had realised just how small they are.  Nice pic. :)

I like them quite a bit, though I don't carry mine much anymore. It's all the convenience of a OH knife, just smaller. :tu:

Send him an email and ask him what he could do for you?  I can't promise anything on his behalf, but he is a good guy and very approachable.  Worst comes to worst, if you guys want to ship it to me (if that's any cheaper!) I'd be happy to send them on.

With the rate canada post charges it's probably not any cheaper in the end.  :(

It's kinda funny that when I say something has very limited usefulness, everyone needs to get one!  :D

See if that blade will fit in a SAK.  I've heard people say they're going to do it but never seen it done, so it probably can't be  :-\

Only one way to find out though :)

I'd really like a OH 91mm SAK.  This is just one avenue I'm investigating.
