Finally got an awl in my Wave.

A simple one this and I'm sure you've seen many like this before but hopefully useful for someone!   :D

Following on from this topic:

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,81167.msg1915394.html#msg1915394

I got a used Reba in the post yesterday and got the awl swapped into the Wave today - really chuffed with the result.

I wanted to lose the mini eyeglasses driver but keep the flat blade as a pry and not lose any length on the awl as the longer the better IMHO.

It all fits with minimal modding - move the flat driver to the middle and lose a few mm's off the length which I reckon makes it a bit tougher anyway.  Fit the awl on the outside.  Only very slight modding needed here was a slither off the curve on the top so the pliers sit in and the tool closes fully as it should.

My aim is always to not mod the main tool (ie remove the tabs etc) as I want it to be returned to standard if desired.

Pics tell the story.

Max.
