Brass rod for SAK modding

Ok, I got a question, brass rod vs brass wire? Same material and same size, would it work? Or would it be too soft?

If it's drawn straight then it might work, wire normally comes in rounds though... you want straight pins so buy rod.

That's probably too soft anyway.  The brass I sell is in half-hard condition - that wire is most likely fully annealed so it can be bent.  You could work harden it I suppose, but getting it straight enough might be an issue.

I wish I knew where I bought that cheap hanger kit, the large hanger came with a 2” nail, solid brass 10gauge, fits dead on, just file the head to fit in the washer thing, cut it to length and peen it X4 and all done.. here’s what I’m talking about,

$12 shipped for enough brass for 8 SAKs seems like a good deal.
(From the first post, Hiraethus' prices)

True, but if it’s from the store down the street and there only $2 would only need 2 so $4 total and no wait..
But I still have yet to disassemble the other sak cause I’m too nerves to lose a sak.. so idk what I’m doing :ahhh
