Black patina/color on SAK
on: June 02, 2019, 02:14:32 AM
Hello. Has anyone successfully tinted the hardware of an SAK with a smooth black patina/color? If yes, what is the process and required materials?

I don't know whether you are specifically looking for a carbon blade patina, or anything in black is desirable.  Victorinox did release a 'monochrome' version of Spartan PS which has the blade anodized black:

The only thing I can think of is acid stonewashing... But it will not have the smooth glass finish your looking for...
