Day 05

More hiking today. Almost hard to avoid.  We’ve been really fortunate with some perfect weather for being outside:  70’s, low humidity, sunny skies.

Picked up a couple of well earned early-season apples from a street market. Bark River was a good slicer, but not great at carving bits of core out of the slices. Still, the job got done and the apples were tart and tasty.

Great photo’s and post - and the color of that water is different from down here in Florida!

Ray, the water in this river is filled with glacial runoff. That runoff fills the eater with minerals giving it that milky aquamarine look. :tu:

I think....say again...think it is the Matterhorn.  Seems like a good all-around knife. Jack of all trades,  master of none.

I love the blade size. The blade design seems versatile, too. I wish the handle were 1/4” bigger, but overall it works for me, especially with a thumb on the upswept spine (saber grip).

I expect to have more impressions as the challenge continues.
