Gerber MP400 mod

Bougt this second handed and done small mods one by one. There were some replacement knife so that was the first thing. I had broken gerber fit, took blade from there and cut a bit shorter to fit. And also shepe more to butter style blade.

Second modification I did blunt the pliers to fit the frame.

Third was can opener. First I did can opener / hook combo. Did not like that so now can opener os reshaped to small chisel.

Now seems quite okay for me. I have one gerper spare parts, was thinking should I replace knife and scissors to plain and serrated knife. But decided not now. I like old reshaped fit blade. Very nice in package opening etc. Also chisel I planned to awl at first. But it is visible when closed so did not want sharp pointy spike there. And opening that tool also from bottom long side so not so good to have sharp side.

 :like: :like: me too like that new blade. Didn't realise that a fit blade can fit in there. Does it lock firmly?
Merit Badges Must post a step by step pictorial of a knife or MT Mod, done by you that includes changing the main chassis of the tool in a significant way. By machining, welding or cutting original design to accept new tool loads. Requests will be reviewed.

Tx. Yes blade was exact match from base. Only a bit too long. And design in 400 is that sharp edge don't rise above handle so anyway cut was needed so that sharp tip lies in bottom area. Quite many gerbers has same form and measures in tool attachment (I assume). Sliding lock that slides above tool and locks position.
