Members in France: advice on acceptable carry?
on: June 29, 2019, 02:09:37 PM
What I've found online seems conflictive. Most things seem to point to any blade being prohibited, with locking seeming like a really bad thing.

I will be working for 3 months in Saint Denis, Paris. My plan was to take my Vic Cybertool and Spirit, I usually carry one or the other for IT work. Both have blades, and while the spirit is less offensive since it has no point, it does lock.

I have read a few things that seem to hint that tools for work are exempt, so perhaps only to carry while at work, and avoid taking them along if I go out sightseeing after work?

Thoughts, advice, feedback?

Grant has offered to get a Bladeless fuse to me once I get settled in, but in the meantime?
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

So you're the mystery traveler, eh? Congratulations, Whoey!

I think the non-locking CyberTool with work-exemption would be the safer bet until the knifeless Fuse arrives. As you say, the Spirit is less assuming as a perceived 'weapon', but has a locking blade. Just my $0.02 on the subject.

Safe travels, sir!
