Mail call. I decided I needed another Fisher bullet pen and picked up a couple of gifts for colleagues while I was it it.

Day: 13

This has been a good challenge. I'm reminded just how fantastic Swiss Army knives really are. I've carried different knives and tools during different periods of my life, but the ubiquitous Swiss Army Knife keeps finding it's way back.

Today, cleaned the gummed-up seeds out of the bird feeder using the cap lifter. We've had a fair bit of rain lately, more than usual, and the bird feeder got clogged with wet seeds.

Day 13

Cut a piece of moleskin.  I use it to cover a rough spot on sandal strap.

A bonus pic today.

Changed up the Explorer.  I purchased a used Explorer and pair of Aquaflage (Navy Camo) scales for a planned mod.  Not being sure when I will do the mod and it being the Explorer challenge, I decided to put the scales on the the used Explorer today and switch it up for a little while.

What better way to celebrate the putting in use of the knife than opening a couple beers for a blind taste test.

Diecast pics!  :pok:

Seems no one has posted to the "SAKs and Miniatures" thread for a long time. I really need to get that thread back going.
This is a Siku I recently picked up. Plenty of opening parts. Chose the side with the extrication gear; which strangely, the 1/1 Sprinter/Rosenbauer 6x6 are not equipped with.  I got back into European brands due to bad local availability (around here, I only have Walmart and Dollar General; everyone else either dropped diecast or closed up shop), but it's changing as it always does when the kids go back to school; as that's when everyone restocks and resets. Bought a ton of stuff yesterday at my local Walmart; and that was with the entire Matchbox Working Parts range stock still in the back (WM said they had 19 online, store only had two).

Day 13. Only used the pen blade opening medicine.

Prayers of rest and healing for you and your wife zrxoa1.  Hope to here you are both better with your next posting.
Another great day "exploring" everyone.
Day 13
Along day in the office got longer with a freezer rewire tonight.  I do enjoy getting my Vic's out in the field even if it is after hours.  Always liked taking things apart and putting them back together so thay work.  Some times it's all about the...
FINE PRINT.

Lately with the print on somethings, I wonder if it is just my eyes or if it is getting smaller.  Either way, the magnifying glass can really help.

Nice Apollo pens!

Thanks Barry. There's been a lot of 50th Anniversary of the first moon landing stuff recently. The whole race for space thing is an amazing story. And the phrase "we're not putting a man on the moon you know" is quite relevant at work just now

Shows what you can achieve with a very little technology and a just about managed explosion.
