The Good-Karma, Free Tool Thread (Pay it forward!)

Inspired by the "Good Karma, Free Parts" thread on AdvRider.com, this thread is for posting listings of FREE TOOLS only. It's for offering a multi-tool or SAK-related product, that has some intrinsic value, to your fellow multitool lovers, for free.

This is how it works:

1. "Givers" post ads just like an item for sale. Include details and a picture if possible.
2. No "wanted" posts! This thread is for giving, not asking!
3. "Takers" call "dibs" in the message string itself. PM the giver afterwards. Dibs are not claimed by PM.
4. It's OK to ask the dibs-taker to pay for shipping (only).
5. If someone calls dibs, then decides not to take the item, the giver should notify the next in line via PM.
6. If no one else has dibs, the giver should post a "still available" message.
7. When an item is no longer available, the giver should post an "item gone" message. This is to keep the "Is this item still available?" messages to a minimum.
8. It's OK, and the usual case, to have many items available simultaneously. One does not have to "go" before you post another.
9. You don't HAVE to post a free item after you've received one from another member, but that IS the whole idea! :D
10. Try to minimize post quoting, as it leads to confusion. Also, try not to post pictures of anything except items for giving.

Well, that's the whole enchilada! I hope one of the mods can make this sticky!

I'll start by posting the first item. Let's get this thing rolling!

FIRST UP...

This is a small spring-loaded plier, made in china, and of the type often seen in hardware stores. It could fit on a large keychain. This particular tool is modded by me. I took the best tools from 3 or four of these pliers, and combined them into this one. Then I sharpened the main blade, serrated blade, can opener, and scissors. Finally I ground the flat driver to remove the rounded corners and make it fit precisely into screws.

I will cover shipping on this one, to the lower 48. Canukistan and elsewhere will have to pay shipping from NC. :)

Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a Victorinox 91mm XAVT/XL/XLT, 111mm Workchamp XL, Wenger/Delemont S54/Tool Chest Plus or Wenger Giant for thirty (30) consecutive days Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) Start a new thread and post a photo of the 111mm sak for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the minimal sak (2 layers or fewer) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of either an Axe, MT/Folding knife or Fixed blade (picked at the beginning of challenge) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Spyderco knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of a different blade each day for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Soldier for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Cybertool (any variant), Swisschamp, Champion or Toolchest for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Fieldmaster SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the discontinued sak/mt for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Explorer SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of a fixed blade for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. Start a new thread and post a photo of the leatherman (supertool, core, hacks) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Vic Spirit MT for sixty (60) consecutive days.

I have a Wenger Nomad i would offer as a freebie, only asking to pay for shipping.

It is in a pretty bad condition, but maybe a modder could use parts of it. I posted some photos of it here:

I have a watch strap I would like to give away. Would it be okay to post here?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I have a 16mm Maratec one piece military strap in olive drab green up for grabs. Ill add a picture later..
