SwissGrip driver extension question - magnet retention?

I have a nice SwissGrip. Virtually unused, not a mark on it anywhere. However, there is one problem. The driver extension adapter and the bits that fit into it... don't stay attached. Is the adapter supposed to have a magnet in it? Or is it supposed to grip by some other means? Because if it's supposed to have a magnet... mine doesn't :/

The driver extension on the SwissGrip does not have a magnet retention.

The driver extension on the Pocket Grip does have a magnet retention as its manual indicates. The only exceptions are the steel Pocket Grips & the Porsche Design Pocket Grip.

So then with the Swiss grip, what keeps everything together? The bits fall out of the adapter and the adapter falls off of the flat driver.
