Day 16 - oh, starting the downhill slippery side.
Orange (web special) along with my Red 112.  (Comparison) Orange is pale in contrast to other items orange.

Day 16

I used the Ranger to help trim the old end off a dog treat.

Then Nix’s post on another thread got me thinking about mixing Peanut Butter and Chocolate.  So what better than a PeNut Butter Porter with some XL Peanut Butter cup.

Laundry...I don’t mind that one bit, especially with the machine doing all the work. Just hate feeding it quarters!

Day 16.

I picked up a LEGO Friends set at Dollar General today, because the price-per-part was good, and I had a use for several of the parts in it. Used the Ranger to cut open the bags. I'm building it before I'm cannibalizing it for parts.   While LEGO is beginning to be found everywhere these days after the demise of Toys R' Us, I don't know if it's a good idea or not. This set was, apparently, discontinued in August of last year, yet is still available at my store in number, along with several other discontinued sets/themes, such as Unikitty. Not only was this display packed with older, out of print sets, but there was a ton of older sets piled sloppily above a shelf in the grocery section of the store. Personally, I just don't think the majority of people that shop at my Dollar General can't really afford LEGO, thus it doesn't sell.

So...as a pairing...how'd that work out?

Sounds like it has potential......

Day17

Second day playing with the Slim 112.  I pocket carry everything, so I moved the clip to the opposite side which I think is more comfortable to hold.  Though it is a very close relative to the original 112, it does feel rather different.  The most noticeable are the weight/slimness, thumb stud and the pocket clip.  I think I will save the more detailed comparison towards the very end of month after some use.

I agree with you, comis. The Slim Rangers feel like a completely different knife. I almost always do a double take when comparing them side-by-side.

It was goood!   Lots of peanut butter goodness.  The beer balanced out the sweetness of the peanut butter cup.

Overnight meetings are awful.  Only thing worse is presenting at a meeting at the end of a long overnight shift.

Day 17:

An early start for me today. Making Pho broth (to be used later for dinner).  My usual bones were not available, so I went with some beef ribs.  Ranger cut 'em up before they got a quick grilling.

Have to start early: this stock will simmer all day to get every bit of goodness out of those bones.   :tu:
