This beautiful knife I found in a display in a souvenir shop in Luzern, Switzerland.
Is anybody familiar with this knife? Is the Schweizer Grenzwache really equipt with this knife?

Not sure it is issued but i read somewhere it was made with their cooperation, they have been making knives for over 100 years so i guess its possible, the SBG1 model has been on my wish list for ages, one day  :D

You could email Klotzli and ask, they were very helpful with me when i was trying to find out info on one of their knives in my collection, very approachable and friendly family run business  :tu:

Incidentally, the previous manager, the father of the current management served his apprenticeship at Victorinox

Yes. Two different models were released by Klötzli Messerschmiede: https://www.klotzli.com/de/Shop/cont-shop/scat-0000019

Is the Schweizer Grenzwache really equipt with this knife?
AFAIK, no (I have asked Schweizer Grenzwache officers and the staff of the Klötzli shop in Bern). These knives were just "designed in the cooperation with  Swiss border guard corps".
