Odd US made spanner multi tool.
on: January 07, 2009, 12:20:22 PM
I saw this strange tool for sale on US Ebay & my curiosity got the better of me & it only cost $10.50us :D :D.
It is marked as being a "LITTLE TOOL BOX", made in the USA  , MILW WISCONSIN.
On one side of the tool it has a medium sized flat screw driver , 3/8 ,1/16,1/2 inch open ended spanners & a small flat screw driver.
The other side has a Phillips head screw driver ,5/8,9/16 inch open ended spanner & lastly a odd pointed tool which the seller called a "Ice Pick" but I am not sure about that.

This tool feels cast iron strong & was really effective as a spanner  :o , the ice pick tool is unusual & the screw driver bits worked well . If it had metric spanners & a blade this tool would rock for me  :D . Does any one know anything about this quirky tool ? It looks like it is old but I do not have any idea how old. I showed Bob the ebay photos & he thought it might belong in the "Scuba tool" family

Nice!  No blades, no pliers--pretty unusual setup.

It does look an awful lot like the type of tool marketed at SCUBA divers:

http://www.joediveramerica.com/page/JDA/PROD/aedt/DT1

Seems to me there was also a very similar model marketed as a cyclist's tool as well.  So, my best suggestion is to get a bike and some SCUBA gear and try it on each one and see which it fits better! :D
