Hello folks. Good to be back (I am from back in the SOSAK days...still got the Tshirt and annual SOSAK knives!).
Below is my beloved Yellow Huntsman. This knife has been my daily carry for a few years now. It has accompanied me on multiple vacations...and every long trip I have taken around the United States on my Harley. I may not use it every day, but I am always glad it is with me.
Funny enough, a few years ago I thought it was lost for good. Me, my {now} ex girlfriend and my best friend were out at deer camp. Everyone close to me has a SAK (because I gave it to them) but my girlfriend had forgotten hers. She asked if she could use mine so I handed it to her and she put it in her belt pouch. We all went for a long walk around the edge of the property we were hunting on...a walk of several miles.
When we got back to camp, she looked down and noticed the pouch was open and empty. I was trying not to be in a panic...I have well over 100 SAKS, but this one was kinda special to me.,,still, I was trying not to make her feel bad. We all tried to retrace our steps to find it, but had no luck. We went back to camp but I decided to trek back out and look for it...heck, it is bright yellow...it should stand out!
After a couple of hours scouring the area we walked through, I actually found it. I could not have been happier at that moment. Some things you just never want to lose.
I also have a camo Tinker in my collection that rode in the sharpener pouch of my after market KABAR sheath when I was in the Marines. It accompanied me around the world...definitely not a SAK I would want to lose.
