I bought this OHT pretty cheap because it was covered in paint. Looks brand new. I've started the cleaning process. This is phase 1. A big thank you to gerleatherberman for his valuable input on this effort.

After photos. Still needs some fine detailing and the sheath is only partially clean, but the difference is remarkable.

That looks like some kind of bumper-chrome spray paint to me. That stuff gets everywhere somehow. :ahhh

That looks like a backyard change to the "new silver" edition.  :D

Is there any paint in the mechanisms? It cleaned up well.

A little bit, that is some of the detail work I need to do.  Nothing major, most of the pain was on the exterior and open blades.

The before shots appeared to be urban camouflage;)

I have a BO unit, and started to see some wear on the relief images, so I enhanced the wear with very fine Emory cloth.
