Huntsman lite batteries
on: July 04, 2019, 03:43:32 PM
Hey guys. Batteries died in my light. Unsure how because I didn't use it much and I can't imagine there was a drain on it with an LED off. Maybe it got switched on. Anyways, what's recommended for batteries? I know they're CR1225 but what brand and source? I can't find them locally and prices and brands vary. Also, is the light bright? I don't ever remember it being very useful light except maybe a few inches from the source. I know it's not a large light "throw" but I expected a bit more useable light lol.

If you want Swiss batteries, you could buy Renata. It really doesn't matter much, the light won't be that bright whatever you choose. ;)

It's a fine light for close up and total darkness, but not something you can use instead of your dedicated flashlight in general.

Look in the mod section, pretty easy to upgrade the LED to 20k-30k lumen, IIRC. '04 to c. '11 lite modules are really dim and got brighter c. '11 or '12 and the newest clear plastic modules should have the brighter LEDs.  I use Energizer brand - good enough for me.

Well, I replaced the batteries. It's not horrible. Can someone link that led upgrade?

Not sure I did the link right.

There isn't much detail. But it does show the results.

Happy modding.
