Putting the list and the post for today in this page to keep up with it better :D

Final Round

Only those on the short list will need to post the pic today :salute: You guys have roughly 24 hours to get a pic of a MT and your EDC accompanying the EDC needs to also be an explanation of why you carry what you do  If you are carrying less than you normally would due to a curent monthly challenge then I would ask you to include the items that are carried when you are not in a challenge ;)

Congrats to all those that made it to this round and good luck to you all

After the 24 hours all those that have completed this part of the challenge will be written down on a piece of paper (or rather their corresponding Round number) the pieces of paper will be thrown into a hat and the winner will be randomly drawn  The actual time of the drawing will be more around 36 hours as I will do this draw at home and then relay the results at that time :tu:

Again good luck guys

 and begin

Final Round

 :ahhh

Today's EDC (it does vary from day to day, this was just today's), from Left to Right:

* Bandana: I almost have a bandana of handkerchief with me. Too many uses not to have one!
* Money clip with walkin' around money.
* In the green pocket there is a magnifying lens (fresnel-type) and a Vic 4-way driver. This is kept in the billfold (below) for the old eyes.
* Fisher Bullet Pen (always making little notes).

* Leather billfold with a couple of Band-aids and some vaseline-cotton wrapped in duct tape. The band-aids aren't life saving gear, but sure come in handy at time to keep ones clothing clean. No uses for the fire starter, yet, but it's easy to carry.
* House key with widely bar and Vic 4-way driver. The driver is a bit redundant today, but some days I don't have one or the other with me.

* Pocket caddy with AAA twist light and Case Sodbuster. The bullet pen gets stored in there, too.
* Vic Ambassador. Toothpick has been replaced with a Firefly ferro rod.

Simple set up for today.  :tu:

Final Round -
My non Challenge EDC is broken down to two different sets. First is for my Part Time gig st YMCA near home taking care of pools and spa, and other general maintenance tasks.
Stainless Steel Wave, low profile watch, Buck 112, and my always with me grandpa Vagabond for battery compartments and orange peeler which has been with me since 1998.

Then my afternoon and home set. One of my Rebars either in a sheath or pocket carry.  A Buck BBW Bantam for a folded w/PE, a stylish Solar power Watch, and the trusty Vagabond.

These sets permit me to change clothes and minimize pocket equipment shifts.

Trying to keep it relatively light in the hot weather, but I do rotate it a bit depending on the toolset, I may swap out the classic for my signature light and then switch the compact to a climber or serrated spartan without the pen. Always have 2 lights, 1 on keychain and this gets rotated a bit as well as whatever knife I'm in the mood for, MT is usually Wave or Spirit, Here is todays mess excluding my ancient iphone 6 which is taking the Pic:

Clockwise from left:
Visine dry eye: I don't go anywhere without this stuff or my eyes turn to dust
Olight S10 Baton: A little old, but still gives out an impressive amount of light, disappears on belt sheath and has electronic lockout
Victorinox Compact on P7 suspension clip: minimalist 2 layer toolset with a pen, also dissapears in jeans
Kershaw Atmos: My favorite lightweight blade, weighs nothin, deep clip, opens and closes like a dream and good slicer
Keychain: Car Fob, housekey, trusty Vic classic, and rechargable Olight I1R on a Niteize slidelock S carabiner, usually clip it to a side belt loop, lock it and put in rear pocket
Wallet: Hey, everyone needs a wallet
Leatherman Wave & nylon Sheath: My oldest and most used MT, never lets me down, sometime rotate with BO Spirit, but like having Wave with pocketclip and diamond file.

Haven't been online much, been at work all the long day .

So apart from a quick one or two posts during a 10 minute break I haven't been able to post or read here. I'm actually typing this, lying in bed with less than 4 hours of sleep ahead of me before everything starts from zero again  ::).

So, my question (and it may be a stupid one  :-\), how long do I have to get this pic in, I mean, I get home at about 18h local time, if I get the pic and post in before 18.30h would this still be in time?

I'm too tired now to do the calculation myself at the moment, my brain is going in power saving mode as I'm typing these last wordsssssss... TG-24 signing out... Blip.

Thanks mate  :salute:.

Hope your next day is a better one!  :salute:

Probably not, it's been going on like that for the last 14 days or so, I work in health care (logistics in a hospital) and the government is cutting costs all over the sector. Which comes down to doing the same job but with half the people, they even have a moto for it, "more with less", so more work with less people.

Anyway, I'm going to try and take a pic of my work EDC during my 20min lunchbreak at 12.30h local time. I really want to join the final round.

Now I'm going to sleep (3h45m minutes of sleep left  :ahhh)

P.S.: congrats to all the finalists .

You should be waking up several hours before this round is over :salute:

I think it would be cheating if I PM any of the ones left on the short list that haven't posted a pic yet but if any of you reading this want to, then feel free to PM any of them  :pok: :D

I will be lenient on this last round a bit more since it is the last round and no other challenge follows and the fact that I won't do the draw for almost 20 hours or so from now :D

Still though, anyone not posting a pic that is on the list won't be in the draw :ahhh So come on the ones that are left :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Multitools and EDC
My pocket carry only as I've shown my bag carry elsewhere.
Wallet containing my identification and various cards
Money clip because there's no room for cash left in the wallet, and if I'm robbed I can just give up the cash and they won't get my identification and cards.
The phone, the flashlight, the notepad and pens, my Zippo and pipe knife all self explanatory.
Then there's the pouch in my back pocket containing the Victorinox Spirit and a Swiss Champ.  The Spirit has been my EDC for about 3 years but the Champ is a recent acquisition. It replaced a Champion that I got for my birthday a couple of years ago.  I used to just pocket carry but I acquired the pouch when the Spirit started to wear through the fabric of my back pocket.  Besides, the pouch counterbalances the wallet in my other back pocket.
Last but not least is a sharp pocket knife, in this case it is a Ranger stockman that I'm carrying for the traditional challenge, but this often changes. I use the knife for my primary cutting tool so I can reserve the blades in the Swiss Champ so they are always going to be sharp for emergencies. I know it looks like a lot to pocket carry but I tend to wear carpenter's jeans or shorts so I have extra pockets.

My edc. I don’t have a bag or pouch, all my other tools live in my garage or workshops.

Watch. Seiko 5. Reliable, no winding, no batteries, it just does what it needs to.

Phone. Samsung S9. Tapatalk app is what I mostly use it for when out and about. I wouldn’t have bought one this fancy, but it came free with my tv.

Red alox farmer. My absolute favourite of all my Swiss knives. Surprisingly for me I’d say the awl gets the most use. If only they made a farmer x as I use scissors almost as much as the awl. Which is why I also carry....

Style cs. Just for the scissors.

Orange key grip. Keys for my garage and workshops.

Tape measure. Often used, I need to find a quality new one that shows metric too.

Pencil. Lives in my shirt pocket. Writes on almost anything and will still be there in many years unlike ink.

Vape. Another shirt pocket occupant. Stopped my 40 a day habit 2 years ago and this is my comfort blanket. I do however have a single small cigar every evening which is why I also carry...

Zippo. Mainly for my cigar treat but also comes in handy to melt cut ends of paracord, lighting fires, blowtorch, candles etc.

Sorry for the crappy picture. I’d normally use the phone camera but as it was needed in the picture I had to use my iPad.

Just took a pic of my work EDC while having lunch break in my car, pic is uploading to imgur as I'm typing this.

So, my setup:

My Leatherman Wave +, because I love the Wave and think it's one of the best tools for daily use.

The first SAK I've ever bought, my trusty Huntsman.  Don't find much use for the saw around the hospital here, but it was my first SAK and I'm sticking with my choice  :P.

My car keys with a small O light 1R EOS, probably one of my most used lights, love it, small, bright and always in the pocket.

My wallet, nothing special about that

My lanyard with my Casio Riseman (can't wear a watch on the wrist according to the hospital rules, so a lanyard it is), and my security badge, which gets me into those top secret research facilities in the secret wing of the hospital...  ::)

Hope this will do, good luck to everybody (but just a bit more good luck for me  >:D)

 ;)
