Day 02 (bonus material):

your coffee looks shocking.  :pok:

Good eye, Fuzzy!

I'm known for my extraordinarily good tea; however, it is true that I make shockingly good coffee.

Since you asked, I'll share my secrets:

1. Start with whole beans. These (below) are locally roasted and I know they are very fresh.
2. Grind the beans just prior to using. Beans start to lose their flavor as soon as they are ground. In camp use the handle of your hatchet like a mortar and a mug or bowl as a pestle. Here in the kitchen, an electric grinder does the trick in mere seconds.
3. Use fresh water. None of that Scottish bog water, mind you. Use pure mountain water (hopefully collected by wholesome virgins at dawn, but failing that other pure mountain waters will do.)
4. Add a pinch of salt to the water and bring it to the boil. Yes, boil the water first.
5. Add the coffee grounds to the water and boil for 4 minutes. Do not rush this step in your excitement to have the best coffee of your life; it must be 4 minutes. 4 minutes and 10 second is OK.
6. Let the boiled coffee rest for a minute or two. (Yes, more waiting, but use the time to hone the edge of your PST.)
7. Now pour the coffee into a mug and enjoy. If the odd coffee ground is bothersome, you could strain it through a sieve, but then.....maybe you shouldn't be drinking coffee in the first place........

The coffee pot above looks like a percolator, but it isn't. I pulled the percolator bits out and tossed them in the bin. They are unnecessary . My other secret is to never wash the coffee pot. I rinse it out with cold water, but that's all. Never any soap.

Now you know my secrets and can make a shockingly great cup of Joe any time, any where. You are welcome!   :D

Fuzz Day 2... Part Un!

Even before I got breakfast on the go this morning, I noticed a job I'd neglected to do last time I was up  -  a couple of curtain hold back thingys needed putting up. Unfortunately, the phillips driver wasn't quite up to the job. While it had the reach, the thickness of the handle inside the holey bit of the bracket thingy was snug and caused the screw to rotate at a funny angle - about 20° - this did not feel right at all*. Luckily though, I had the tool adapter with me, which comfortably completed the task no bother at all.  :2tu:

Used the scissors to cut some Christmas decorations at a school function tonight (sorry no pics). Easy carry on the belt and does not attract any attention.   :salute:

Oh, very nice set up there!
This particular one will fit the PST, PST II, Minitool and the original Supertool, IIRC (maybe I've forgotten some?)
There is a Universal version of the adapter which also fits other models (in addition to those mentioned above, OG Wave I believe, plus probably others) and which I have tried to lay my greedy hands on, so far without success. Maybe others know more about the details.
Cheers!
