I started out by making a grid with 1-15 each number representing the member in the list above  :cheers: Then I picked up a gnarly looking gravel that was sure to land as random as possible  :D

I looked it up for you.
Etymological the name "Van der Weel" or "Van der Weele" most probably comes from "wiel". A 'wiel' is pool of water that was made by a dyke breach. The old dykes protected large area's of Holland against the sea. When the sea breached the dyke, the power of the sea water created a big hole, filled with salt water. After the dyke was repaired, this pool of water (the 'wiel') remained. The names Van der Weel(e) and Van der Wiel is mostly found in coastal area's like Zeeland, South and North Holland.

On the website http://www.joostdevree.nl I found a nice picture of a 'wiel'.

Yes that what I had learned. It was the rich soil that was washed up onto the newly form banks that interested the farmers.  The original ancestor who settle on a new weele was DenDhaus, and the six children born at the new area were named van set weele in the mid to late 15th century.
