Day 28.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate.

The Yeoman phillips driver helped adjust the cant and retention on one of my holsters.  The blade was used in opening some cheese and meat packages to prepare a tray for later today.

Yet more great knives and uses! Comis, love that Wenger- are the scales titanium, or stainless steel? Snow - yay! Won’t see any here for a little while yet...

Day 28

Enjoyable post opening duties for Swissair 234k - latest delivery from Switzerland, plus scales in green and yellow for future mod projects! :woohoo:

Happy thanksgiving to you!

Just notice the white thread on the backside corkscrew, is it some kind of tinder or just another way to carry some thread with you?

It is a strand of kevlar thread.  I replace the straight pin with a threaded needle and wrap the thread around the corkscrew then use a small piece of straw to hold.

Day 28 Nothing much ended up happening today, so a lazy pic with perhaps my only proper shelf queen.

Missed a deal on a Wenger Everest just an hour ago, were you perhaps the lucky one this time Antti?

And if so would you be willing to trade for something, I was quite excited about having the biggest and best of the series as my starter. I even  live nearby, so that would eliminate postage.

Day 28

The Golfer's been back today, and it had the misfortune to open one of the worst beers I ever had. A new product of the brewery the Mrs. works for, she brought some home. It's supposed to be rum flavored, but it's like stomach acid mixed with beer, a beer reflux, bottled puke.  Who in their right mind approved this?  ???

Rum flavored beer, Exeter?  Yuck!  Are you absolutely sure you're in good stead with the wife?  Maybe she's trying to poison you. :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh  :ahhh

Day 28
First picture is just some of my Thanksgiving day feast of fried turkey, whole roasted pig, and spit roasted picanha.
Second picture is leftovers for tomorrow!

Happy Thanksgiving for those of us who celebrate it!

kamakiri Day 28:

Made today's selection on the fly. People needed bottles opened...only made sure to grab one on the Disco list:

53221 - Rainier Serrated

The Rainier is essentially a Huntsman, but with a 60% serrated main blade. I really like the 60% serration, and wish they were an option across the Victorinox model lines. There are two other related knives of this vintage (late 90s) that had this main blade: McKinley (like Tinker) and Matterhorn (like Deluxe Tinker). Good candidates to finish off the Disco Challenge...

Almost there now! Used the scissors on the Master Craftsman/Astronaut to cut the stitching on another bag of sunflower hearts for my feathered friends before heading out to work this morning:

Day 29

Victoria Armee Suisse Artisan

I was playing with some of my other Victorinox camp of discontinued this morning, and quite like this Armee Suisse Artisan I got couple years back.  Basically it has tools set similar to a modern fieldmaster, and each of the tool implement is quite different from its modern cousin.
