Day 3
Hanging some biltong (jerky) in the dryer. Should be ready in 4-5 days.  :tu:

Great use Max.  I’ve heard of biltong, but never had it.

Day 3

Thanks 🆘  :hatsoff:

Yes biltong is quite different to jerky. Here’s a link with a short summary https://bullandcleaver.com/blogs/biltong-facts/what-is-the-difference-between-biltong-and-beef-jerky

Day 2 bit late, forgot.

And as I expected, the collection showcase continues, and many have gone out their way to try out the tools.

Today I introduce another half of the most likely main pair of this challenge for me, an user Parachutist.

It's still really compact for a linerlock and the belt cutter is a great flexible addition to the basic capabilities, though Rescuetool and DualPro do clearly improve on it.

IcChose it because it mostly covers capabilities Matterhorn lacks. I have to confess however that since I got my stainless Spirit it's been there for pliers backup always when out and about.

Did not see this until this morning. So rather than catch up, just tossing this in there. :pommel:

Wenger S557 popping the back off a Swiss Army Pocket Watch. Had recently replaced the battery but the time was off. Used the same tool implement to slide the battery connector arm more balanced over the back of the battery, and set the time again. But... time goes back an hour at 4am, right?

A little nostalgia about this watch. Got it back in the 90's from a Marlboro County catalog. Parents did not want anything from the catalog, so I got my first Leatherman PST and this Swiss Army Pocket Watch with leather belt fob. So, while I've done had my first PST fixed/replaced, this is the only original thing from back at the time that still works, although the battery is made in Germany & not a common type here. Still, I have had this watch hanging from a nail on my computer hutch over the years. Is the first thing I look at when setting down at the computer. :D

Day 3

Champion 246fmaU, a predecessor to Swisschamp, almost every tool(except openers) on this model is a little different from it's modern counterpart, to some extend, I felt like it resemble the Ranger more than the actual Swisschamp.

Day 3

Finally we're back home from our trip, and as I'm not planning any knife use, actually, my only plan for the rest of the day is to have a relaxing, lazy Sunday afternoon/evening, a definite non-user from the collection will be just right for today: a 1943 Victorinox (Elsner) Soldier.
