Hello everyone

I am looking to pick up some old fibre handle soldiers/officers knives. I don't suppose there is anyone that is willing to part with any?

What condition does it have to be in?

Well one of my fantasies at the moment is to get one of the Rothlisberger restorations.

I've got a 1950 Soldier with all tools in complete condition.
No bends, twists or deformed main blade from sharpening.

The catch is that some Swiss soldier figured it would serve well as a hammer and ended up flattening the butt of the knife, to the point where it can actually stand on it's own.

I can post pics later today or tomorrow.

I have picked up 3 1908s since we talked last. I like the sound of yours because I want one I can pull to bits.

Please let me see it when you are back and maybe we can do a trade or cash.

So, the 1950 Soldier...











Toolwise, it's in perfect shape.
It's just that the frame isn't shaped as it should be. (Ever saw a Mod 1908 tailstand??)
The awl is wobbly when closed, causing the main blade to close on it if you push the awl sideways when you opened the main blade.
