Hi sgjs,Welcome! This depends where you live and others from your place may want to chime in to complete my 2 cents, to wit:Not sure where I should get them (I haven't tested any of those offered ready-made) so I make them myself from solid brass stock in the appropriate diameter. Then I drill at 1.5 mm (this should be 1.6 nominally but 1.5 works just fine in brass) using a lathe and tap M2 thread.Hope this helps...
This guy has some, never bought any so can't say how they are.https://www.etsy.com/listing/727619812/3-mm-118-mm-pivot-barrels-no-screwshttps://www.etsy.com/listing/741477235/25-mm-118-mm-pivot-barrels-no-screwsSent fra min FRD-L09 via Tapatalk
I bought some of those from that guy. They work great. Looks like his shop is currently closed though. The hardest part was drilling out the rivets. Even with my little bench top drill press, I screwed up my scales. Luckily it was on my beater PX, and it’s still functional.
Thanks for that info. I live in the UK. Your method sounds Ideal, though I don't have the tools and I'm not that technical... I think I will try those that RF52 suggested. They look ideal.Unless perhaps you'd be willing to sell me some that you have made? Obviously I understand if not
I don't keep any pre-made, I just make them when needed, sorry...
