I'm always on the lookout for a good necker.  My current 'favorite" is the Ka-Bar Remora.

I do wear pocket shirts for work but I do work in a federal building. Im allowed knives and such being in the maintenance department. Not sure how theyd feel about it being open in my shirt pocket.

I wear my badge, time card and stuff on a lanyard around my neck so I know how it go whereever. But if i cant reach my pocket, id have a better shot at grabbing something near my chest.

I do like me some Ka Bar. Ill check out the Remora

If you’re ever on your back much then a neck carry probably wouldn’t be good they tend to fall any which way once you’re not upright with weight on the knife, even just bending forward can be an issue.

I would just clip the skyline into the shirt opening between a couple of top two buttons.

Some lovely knives there Comis  :like:

Thank you, Mags!

Is that a GSO model?
Indeed, the earlier GSO models are priced a cheaper and they are one of the first makers adopting the use of 3V which I loved.  Personally, the long wait time and high cost make it less desirable nowadays.

Great knives comis, ray, and PitCarver  :tu:

I like to carry my Dragonfly in my shirt pocket.  The wire clip helps it not looking like a knife plus its such a small knife anyway.  I like stealth mode when I carry unless at work or out on the trail.

I think you guys sold me on the Esee Izula. Seems like for the price point, hard to beat. On top of that, I did see quite of an impressive video of it being used. I appreciate all the help.

next stop, figuring out what SAK to get

When will it end?

I think the Izula will work great.  Esee has an outstanding warranty.

Our warranty is pretty simple: if you break it, we will repair or replace it. We will not question the validity of your warranty claim for a broken knife, handles, sheath, clip plate or hardware. Warranty is lifetime and transferable. In other words, we warranty these products no matter how many times they have been traded, sold or given away – no sales receipt or proof of purchase required. We must have these products returned to validate a warranty claim.

Feel secure buying a tool that will last a life time or be replace no questions asked.

Sounds like a great company!

I have no problem paying the price as long as the product is good and company stands behind it.

color suggestions? Im considering Orange (knifeworks exclusive I guess?) Or dark earth?

I do like that venom green though

Green is my favorite color so it was a no brainer for me to snatch this up when I had the chance.

Hmm.  I actually like the bright colors so Orange would be my pick.  I've seen that purple too which is a fun color.  You cannot go wrong.  If stealth mode is what your after go dark earth if you dont care then go bright.

I've been reluctant to add anything as I only have experience with one, and rarely carry it but I do like this older CRKT

All this talk about neck knives, I picked up a CRKT Civet .  I'll post pic in a bit.  It came razor sharp, way to go CRKT.  The sheath is plastic with a very positive retention.  It can also be taken apart to clean if needed.  I got the drop point which is a great shape.  Scale are a little lame but not terrible.  Overall its a neat little blade.

I picked up another CRKT  :dunno: my buddy had it and I thought it was really neat.  Mike Franklin Side Hawg.

The first pic is the CRKT Minimalist with the Civet ( bottom ) with 91mm and 58mm SAK for size reference.

Second pic is the Side Hawg. Its a little beat up but nothing some time tuning up cant fix.

I'll post some better pics in the morning.

The very bottom fixie of the first photo is nice. The blade geometry is nice. Do you have a bigger photo of that one?  :tu:

Alright heres the Civet.  Not a bad little knife.  The plastic handle is lame but I've seen one with it take off.  If one was inclined a replacement can be attached in the material of your choosing.

Its certainly possible.  This little fixed blade is pretty neat.  The tip is very precise the double jimping is nice.  I read some complain about the sharp edges on the handle area.  While I can understand, its not an expensive knife so a little smoothing and those edges would be gone.  Mine however is fine.

I just saw the prices on eBay - that is very affordable. There was only one drop point and it was used. The others were Bowie style blades.  :tu:

My buddy who had the Civet and Hawg wasn't using them.  I couldn't resist.  I'd still recommend the Izula for a great neck knife but these are fun.  Honestly not sure what I'll do with them but he gave me a really good price.  He did use the Hawg but not the Civet much at all.
