A couple of weeks ago I found this beauty on a Belgian 2nd hand site  :o.

The Original Supertool, being my first ever Multitool, still has a special place in my heart.  And since I was 17 years old when I got my first Supertool, I threw away the box (because let's face it, what are the chances of me ever needing that original box, ever again ... )

Anyway, when I found this beauty I knew this was my chance to get a brand new Original Supertool, with original box and paperwork (and even the "Important: Read User Guide ..." sticker, still on the tool).  And knowing that these things never (and I mean NEVER, since this is the first one in this condition that I've seen in about 15 years) pop up over here, I consider myself lucky for being able to add this one to the collection.

And I must say, even after owning one of these for 25 years, I was still so excited when I opened the new one, and I was once again blown away by the fit and finish of these old Leatherman tools.  They just ooze quality and "taking pride in your work" ...

Here are the pics:

And some pics with his older brother ...

Thanks mate .

Strange how something as trivial as a warning sticker can be so important, isn't it ?   ;)

Yes, you got the scoop on this one  ;).

(knowing that I got this one about 2 weeks before our "meet up", and only just now found the time to post pics of it ... You'll understand that you'll have to be patient to see pics from the one I got from our trade, right  ;)).

Yes indeed  ;)
From the small pivot, missing hard write notch and straight blade swedge I assume it's a late '95 to '96 ?

Date codes 11/97 and 12/97, making it more than 3 years "younger" than my first Supertool.  I did notice that this one has the registered trademark symbol behind the name Supertool as well as behind the name Leatherman, where my '94 Supertool only has this behind the name Leatherman.

Yep, the Original Supertool has a special place in my heart, my first "real" multitool, my first Leatherman, and I carried it through High School, and at my first job(s) ...
