Day 1 photo

The 111mm that I have chosen for this challenge is the WorkChamp XL. Now this is one that when you read SAK Wiki - ‘According to Victorinox, this model was designed for the collector !’. It has almost every tool tool made for the 111mm. It has enough tools that cross over to many different fields and that is the reason I chosen it. A less layer model would have been easier but this is a challenge, so...

A month of cargo pants, or do you have a nifty holster for it?

Respect for the challenge either way! I've got a regular WorkChamp and that is big chunk of a tool in itself. The XL is a behemoth amongst SAKs.

Holy crap, you will be needing a wheelbarrow for that one!

Maybe not.. But this will be a treat to follow

I did not know that model even existed, a reason to visit MTi everyday.

Will look forward to your adventures with the 111.

Did you retire recently?  I did last summer, but contribute 20 hrs/week doing maintenance at the nearby YMCA till my wife does next year or sooner.

And I thought my Hercules was beefy!!!  I had been thinking of upgrading to a regular Workchamp so I’d have the metalsaw/file. I have uses for a file a lot, but rarely a saw...

This, like others have stated, will be an interesting challenge to follow!!

Best of luck!!!

It was a toss up between the two...slept on it and still a toss up. Then I thought of something Nix said about doing challenges, sticking with one and get used to it for the month. The WorkChamp won out.

If you manage to use every tool on that thing within a 30 day period then a merit badge doesn't cover it, they should put up a statue to you somewhere.

Dang it...I need to carry a 111mm for awhile. I love my Huntsman, but I need to add a 111mm to my daily carry.

My daily carry 111mm is usually the  One Hand Trekker as it was my first 111mm and the combination of the hole and the lock is what sold me.
