I wonder who manufactured it for Wally World? The recent post ChopperCharles made about his first LM Wingman reminded me of this tool. Great to hear this tool continues to impress.
This is why Leatherman came out with the gimmicky Free series design. They knew Wave copies were coming and they couldn't do anything to stop it, the designer said so in a magazine interview. I might check one of these out during Christmas when they'll probably be under $20.
Interesting.
I think I’m going to have to get one of these next Walmart trip. I have the workpro with the scissors, which is ridiculously big and heavy. I actually love it, but without a pocket clip it will never see rotation as my EDC. But this Walmart wave-like tool might be just the ticket. If you think that tool is heavy, you should get its big brother! It is about the size of the Leatherman Surge, but heavier. It is also made a bit better. The Multitforce is a tad bit heavier than a Wave, but the weight of most tools does not bother me anyway. . Charles.
The scissors were by far the biggest surprise...they utterly destroy every Leatherman scissor except a surge (which is amazing but also not really the same thing).
Got the Wiha bit kit in today. It all fits perfectly in the driver extension except the 5mm/6mm bit. The 6mm bit doesn't fit all the way down in the handle and doesn't touch the magnet. Everything else locks in place via the magnet perfectly. Charles.
