That's an astute observation but it's only partially correct.It has only one nail nick.

Here is the reason for the opposite side nail nick.

I bought 2 of theses when I bought 2 of the Olive Green bone ones like in the other picture.

Now that is a super nice logo! I love the Case on the roof and the XX on the side! Have never seen that logo. But then I am rather new to Case knives and the history.  :2tu:

The logo with the barn and the XX on the side is a logo they made for TSC stores. They may still have them at TSC. I have not been out there in a while.

This is the Case model 47 that got me to liking that model. I got it in 2004 and it has been carried a lot. The handle is smoother feeling from all the pocket carry.

The blades look shiny in the picture, but if you see them up close there are fine scratches on them. The back of the Sheepsfoot used to have quite a few scratches but I polished most of them out.
